Some Sketch Challenges

Good morning... or it would be if the sun would come out to play and my heat pump could get my house past 68 degrees... which is too cold for me!! We are expecting a snow storm tonight, woo hoo. I don't mind the snow, I just don't like the temperature to be below 20 degrees! Am I asking for too much?

Any whooo I wanted to complete some sketch challenges while they were still going on. I will be busy for the rest of the week, so I thought I'd post these. The first one's from Jen Del Muro's blog (I LOVE HER NAME LOL). She posts a Sketch For You To Try every Saturday. She's at CHA right now, but I made a card anyways.

I don't know if I like it, but my DH is getting it for Valentine's Day! And that's a BIG accomplishment for me! hehehe I was using up more of the paper from the C&C. Good for me as I'm usuall ya hoarder of sorts. I'm not crazy about the scallops but DH won't care too much hehe.

SFYTT Skunk

The next card is for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge and it's #34. Another one of my creative 'heroes' so to speak. Here's the card I made for it. I went with masculine birthday. I like it. I did have the BG wasabi, but the blue just got lost on it and apparently, I have a hard time when it's more than 3 main colors! hehehe

I LOVE the one for Jon! It's awesome girl, and the scallops are cool too.

The colors of the second one make me want to whine for spring, it's -3 degrees here this morning and I am flippin cold!
