Chat & Challenge 106

Evening all. Last Friday night was the C&C106 on SUDSOL. Can you actually believe Gman was in bed before it started at 9:30pm WITHOUT me drugging him? lol Joking of course! Hard to believe since I just put him to bed.

Sometimes, I think it might be worth it to try and take away his naps lol. He'd probably fall asleep in his dinner and be so fussy it wouldn't be worth it. Oh well, one can dream right?! I think I will be putting a 'curfew' so to speak on what time the naps can end at. Have I confused you? Like I won't let him sleep past 2:30pm. If he falls alseep at 2pm then he gets 1/2 hr. No, I'd probably give him an hour. The thing with him is if he wants to sleep more he'll just com into the living room and go back to sleep on the floor lol. Or be UBER fussy. Sigh...

So anywho... here are the cards:

C&C106 Birthday
Stamps: Big Bold Birthday
Ink: Purely Pomegranate, Bashful blue, Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, Cutie Pie DSP
Accessories: Brads, circle punch

This one took FOREVER and EVER. But I do like how it turned out! I had those presents full sized, but then had to keep cutting them down to make them fit on the patterned piece.

C&C106 Fruit
Stamps: Tart & Tangy, All Holidays, Polka Dot BG
Ink: Black Stazon, Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, Gable Green
Accessories: 1/4" Black Grosgrain

THis is a quick and simple card that has SCRATCH & SNIFF written ALL over it! This is a NEW SU set that will be available to the 'people' on March 1st. It is a set of 4 and includes a strawberry, cherry, apple and citrus slice shown above. LOVE IT!! It also has some FAB DSP that I didn't get and may be getting here right quick! hehehe

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for leaving comments. It's nice to know there are ppl out there reading this blog besides my buddies (I LOVE YOU GUYS!).

Valentine Goodies

Yes, I KNOW it's a bit late, not to mention I think last year's post was the very same title! Wow, can I be ANY more original? I think NOT! hehehe

Any who, here's a pic of Lgirl's valentine stuff. I wanted to make them 'quick and easy' as I know the kids don't give a hoot! I made both teachers an acetate box for the ghiradelli (Thanks LAUREN!!) I love that girl's BLOG!! So much creativity in such a small package! hehehe

Quick and Easy candy cello bags! I let her color the images and then I cut them out.

Here are the teacher's gifts. I forgot names on them, bad mommy, bad mommy!!

Here's the girl herself enjoying her cupcake. She's such a ham sometimes, making everyone laugh. And then there are times when her head spins and fire comes outta her nose and mouth.

And here's the faux flower pot. I made this for my girfriend, Storm (Waves wildly, Hey Girlfriend!), and delivered it to Cynthia's Wednesday evening. I sent along a hand towel and a pair of socks. I also sent candy, but didn't take a picture of it.

Well, I was going to post again, but my eyes wont' stay open for some reason. **hummmm, I wonder what could cause that?! hehe**

Has It Only Been...

a WEEK??? My goodness, it feels like a month has gone by lol. I told you I'd be busy for the week last Monday and I was RIGHT!!

Let's see.... I can run it down in a nutshell. I had to make Valentine's gifts for Lgirl's preschool class and teachers. I got the JOY of bringing the cupcakes for her party which was on Wednesday. The whole time worrying they were going to cancel the party! Yikes!

Then I had to make the card samples for a Stampin' Party one of my hostesses (HI DEENA!!) is having on the 24th. I delivered them along with her other stuff to her house.

I was getting over being sick AND the kiddos were sick also. I had to prep for an ALL Day Crop to support out local Blue Fusion Dance Team here at the Greenfield Central High School. I offered a 3 Card Workshop for $5 and a Photo Wallet Workshop for the same price. I had a File Folder Tag Book Workshop but didn't get the sample finished.

I think (how bad am I that I can't remember?!) I participated in the C&C106 on Friday, but it's a blurr!

Then Saturday night after having gone to bed at 2am, Gman decides to wake up at 2:30am and toss and turn and keep me awake until 4am. Boy when 6:30am came around I was tired lol. Oh and not to mention my llama dog got the BUTT flu. That's such a JOy w/a big dog! Yikes.

So after the Crop, I got to come home and move furniture outta the kitchen, sweep and then mop it all! What fun. Though having a clean floor does make me feel a lot better! I don't mind vomit but when it comes from the other end I have serious cleaning issues and worry about germs. Sorry about the grossness and TMI, I'll stop now. I promise! hehe

Okay, I'm off to post pics in separate posts.

Some Sketch Challenges

Good morning... or it would be if the sun would come out to play and my heat pump could get my house past 68 degrees... which is too cold for me!! We are expecting a snow storm tonight, woo hoo. I don't mind the snow, I just don't like the temperature to be below 20 degrees! Am I asking for too much?

Any whooo I wanted to complete some sketch challenges while they were still going on. I will be busy for the rest of the week, so I thought I'd post these. The first one's from Jen Del Muro's blog (I LOVE HER NAME LOL). She posts a Sketch For You To Try every Saturday. She's at CHA right now, but I made a card anyways.

I don't know if I like it, but my DH is getting it for Valentine's Day! And that's a BIG accomplishment for me! hehehe I was using up more of the paper from the C&C. Good for me as I'm usuall ya hoarder of sorts. I'm not crazy about the scallops but DH won't care too much hehe.

SFYTT Skunk
Stamps: Pun Fun, Like It a Latte
Ink: Stazon Black, Rose Red, Regal Rose
Paper: Basic Black, Regal Rose, Rose Red, WW, Bali Breeze DSP
Accessories: Word Window Punch, Purely Pomegranate double stitched ribbon, Sakura gel pen, dimensionals, paper piercing, slit punch, 1/2 pearl things, aqua painter

The next card is for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge and it's #34. Another one of my creative 'heroes' so to speak. Here's the card I made for it. I went with masculine birthday. I like it. I did have the BG wasabi, but the blue just got lost on it and apparently, I have a hard time when it's more than 3 main colors! hehehe

WSC34 Beate
Stamps: Big Bold Birthday
Ink: Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegranate, Bashful Blue, So Saffron
Paper: WW, Wild Wasabi, Purely Pomegranate, Bashful Blue, So Saffron, Cutie Pie DSP
Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, Brads, Crystal Effects, Sponge Dauber, Dimensionals

Chat & Challenge 105

Okay, I was going to take new pics of the cards, but since I'm so durn busy I decided to post what I made. Friday night SUDSOL had another C&C and here are the cards. Well, first here's the sketch:

Now here's the first card I made:
C&C 105 Baby
Stamps: Fun & Fast Notes, Lovely Labels
Ink: Stazon Timber Brown, Rose Red, Purely Pomegranate
Paper: Chocolate Chip, WW, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Bali Breeze DSP
Accessories: Circle Punches, 5/8" Regal Rose Grosgrain, crystal effects, dimensionals, photo corner punch, scallop punch, brads, aqua painter

I decided to start making cards I can actually use lol. I added 2 photo corners layered on top of one another in the top righthand corner with 3 brads in it. The brads were chocolate. I think the baby one is a bit plain, but it looks much better w/the photo corner additions. I will definitely photograph them and get the pics uploaded!
ETA: Apparently I was confusing some people (we won't mention any names DANA hehehe) so I've uploaded the pictures WITH the photo corners and brads. Sorry of the headache. I said I'd get them uploaded!

Here's the second one:

C&C 105 Hello
Stamps: So Many Scallops, Fun & Fast Notes, Priceless, Dotted BG

Ink: Stazon Black, Rose Red, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery
Paper: Rose Red, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, WW
Accessories: Circle Punches, crystal effects, dimensionals, photo corner punch, scallop punch, brads, 1/8" punch, Sakura gel pen, aqua painter

I'm not happy with the pitcher at all, but you have to realize the challenge started at 9:30pm and Gman was still up! So I didn't get started until 10pm. Needless to say, by the time I got this second card finished, everyone had 'left the building' so to speak lol. I uploaded it to SUDSOL anyways. I'm really proud that I'm keeping with my 2 cards for the C&C rule. Woo hoo. That way you guys know there will be 2 new cards a week (more if I can finish some sketches!!) for you to see.

I need to get these posted because the next C&C is Monday night! Yikes!

What Does My Name Mean?

I don't know about the last part, but the first part is pretty dead on! hehhee

What Bobbie Means
You are full of energy. You are spirited and boisterous. You are bold and daring. You are willing to do some pretty outrageous things.Your high energy sometimes gets you in trouble. You can have a pretty bad temper at times.
You are well rounded, with a complete perspective on life. You are solid and dependable. You are loyal, and people can count on you.At times, you can be a bit too serious. You tend to put too much pressure on yourself.

You tend to be pretty tightly wound. It's easy to get you excited... which can be a good or bad thing. You have a lot of enthusiasm, but it fades rather quickly. You don't stick with any one thing for very long. You have the drive to accomplish a lot in a short amount of time. Your biggest problem is making sure you finish the projects you start.
You are friendly, charming, and warm. You get along with almost everyone. You work hard not to rock the boat. Your easy going attitude brings people together. At times, you can be a little flaky and irresponsible. But for the important things, you pull it together.

Altered Lollipop Can

My hairdresser had this plain, clear pail **gasp at the injustice** just sitting on the counter w/her lollipops in it. I asked if I could 'alter' it for her. Neeldess to say, I left it until the last moment and did it in about 45 min. Which is fast for me. I wasn't happy about the fold in the paper, nor the fact that I didn't add any turquoise ribbon, but I will remedy that soon. At least the ribbon part! hehehe

I used SU's Bali Breeze DSP, some felt flowers from the Flower Fusion (which I LOVE!!) and a retired stamp set from last Spring! So quick and easy! THe most time consuming thing was scalloping the papers.
I have to go and OPEN my box from SU! woo hoo. My stamp club order got here tonight and I should be getting another box on Thursday or Friday!

Weekend Fun & A Sketch Challenge

My girlfriend, Laurel, who lives up in Kokomo came over to play for the weekend! woo hoo. I really LOVE it when we get to do this. It is so much fun and we really have a good time. She came over Saturday afternoon and left Sunday afternoon. Sigh... I tried to hold her hostage but she got away! heheh

While she was here, she taught me how to do the alcohol inks technique w/SU reinkers! It was a lot of fun and I did a lot of coughing while I inhaled 90% alcohol lol. But it was WELL worth the effort lol. I had Really Rust and Blue Bayou in mind for a card I wanted to do for a card.

I had hand drawn about 4 or 5 sketchs I wanted to tackle this weekend. I didn't get Beate's done, but I do have a card in mind. I was able to finish Anna's of Sassy & Sweet Notes.

Sassy & Sweet Challenge Card:
Here I wanted to finish up the Polished Stone piece and I kept with the same colors to use up all the scraps from the card above. I may start doing this as it leaves me w/less scraps! woo hoo!

Stamps: Wanted, Happy Birthday to You
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Bayou Blue, Really Rust, Stazon Timber
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, Blue Bayou, VV
Accessories: Paper Piercing, brads, UNdouble stitched blue bayou ribbon, 5/8" Chocolate Chip Grosgrain, dimensionals
Technique: Polished Stone

C&C 104 Second Card

Hi there,

Here's the 2nd card from Sudsol's Chat & Challenge. I haven't used this stamp set since Convention ( I know, bad, bad Bobbie!!) but here's a nice masculine birthday card. Woo hoo!
C&C 104 Wanted
Stamps: Wanted
Ink: Close to Cocoa, Bayou Blue
Paper: Close to Cocoa, Kraft, Vanilla
Accessories: Paper Piercing, brads, UNdouble stitched blue bayou ribbon, dimensionals

I've also added a picture of Gman looking like a little retro boy w/orange sunglasses on and his turtleneck. Such a cutie patootie! Glad to see his hair is finally growing back in! hhehehe.

Chat & Challenge 104

Hi there! Sorry I have been incognito. DH had to patrol Friday night AND Sunday day, which makes for a LONG weekend! But I was very LUCKY and THANKFUL that my friend, Traci, & her DD stopped by to play Friday night.

Friday night, SUDSOL had another Chat & Challenge. This was a special 2 hr C&C and there were some Prizes to be had! You had to be the first to upload on certain challenges. Well, I decided I didn't like the pressure of being first, it compromises my artistic creativity! Yikes! Here's the sketch:

I made this card for the color challenge, which was to use 3 or 4 of these colors: old olive, pumpkin pie, orchid opulence and soft sky. This card was completed in about 10 minutes. I was in such a hurry I pulled a retired set! Yikes!

I will post the other C&C card tomorrow. I really wanted to finish more than 2 since it was a 2 hr event, but gman wasn't cooperating and I only got to play for an hour really.

C&C 104

Stamps: In the Spotlight
Ink: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Orchid Opulence
Paper: Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Orchid Opulence, WW
Accessories: Scalloped oval punches, 5/8 IN grosgrain, dimensionals

Stamp Club Cards

Top O' the Mornin' to Ya! I had my Stamp Club girls over Wednesday night for some fun. Linda couldn't make it ... we missed you!!

Anywho, the hostess decided she wanted to learn Versamark Resist, so we made card using Versamark resist and we also did a mini 3x3 card using rubons so I could show them how they work also.

Of course, I used the now defunked (I LOVE that word... it's probably spelled wrong... oh well!) Stampin' Up! set One of a Kind. It is not orderable until they fix the probably of the 3 flower stamp not matching up with the Boho Flower punch. I think mine lines up just fine. The white around one or two is not exactly the same, but it's like a millimeter (or something smaller) off so I can live with that!
3x3 Groovy Guava Rubon
Stamps: So Many Scallops
Ink: Groovy Guava
Paper: Groovy Guava, WW, Ginger Blossom DSP
Accessories: Spiral Punch, Cutter kit, Urban West Rubons, Scallop Circle Punch, Dimensionals
One of a Kind Resist
Stamps: One of a Kind
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Stazon Black, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Purely Pomegranate
Paper: Purely Pomegranate, Basic Black, Glossy White
Accessories: Urban West Rubons, Scallop Circle Punch, Dimensionals, Black Brads, 1 1/2" Circle Punch
True Friend Resist
Stamps: True Friend
Ink: Pretty in Pink, Stazon Black, Rose Red, Purely Pomegranate
Paper: Purely Pomegranate, Basic Black, Glossy White
Accessories: Urban West Rubons, Scallop Circle Punch, Dimensionals, Black Brads, 1/4" Black Grosgrain Ribbon, 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 1/2" Circle Punch
In the final Resist Card, I forgot to put the brads in before taking the picture, so I 'added' them in while I was downsizing in Corel Draw. Sorry about that lol. I really like how the card turned out. Very cool!
