Christmas Card #6

Stamp sets: Dasher, All Holidays, Best Yet (retired)

Ink: Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler
Paper: Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Accessories: Scallop Trimp Border Punch, Med Oval Punch, Scalloped Oval Punch, Petals A Plenty embossing folder, Frost Shimmer Paint, Sakura Gel Pen (non SU)

I really like this card! I really wanted to use Dasher on a card and had tried making a tent card with Bashful Blue & Night of Navy. The card never worked out. Everything I tried didn't look right and the hubster got tired of me asking, 'Well, what about if I did this instead of that?'

This is a Inspired by Ink original! Totally thought up by me and having so many Cherry Cobbler pieces left over that I wanted to use. No casing or copying! woohoo & yay me. Sorry I need to toot my horn once in a while.

Our shimmer paint is AWESOME! You just need to pour a bit into a small spray bottle (a little goes along way- just like adhesive!), shake it up and spray sparingly onto cardstock. Lay it down to dry and then look at the awesome shine! Ohh so lovely. I even sprayed it on the inside of some of my Christmas cards. Gives it an added bling. The more bling the better I say.

Here's the inside. Plus there's a poinsetta on the envelope too. I really enjoy decorating the inside AND the envelope of my cards.

Christmas Card Club #5

Well, I have figured out a work around for the uploading problem. Though it's not long term, it will do until this gets fixed... if it ever does! I have to open my blogger in internet explorer and upload it that way!

Stamp sets: Greeting Card Kids, (I forgot what Warm Wishes is from)
Paper: Garden Green, Whisper White, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink
Ink: Garden Green, Rose Red, Pretty in Pink, Daffodil Delight, Bashful Blue, Black Stazon
Accesories: Modern Label Punch, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch, Bigz Die Circle #2, sponge dauber, Elegant Lines embossing folder
Here's one of the cards we made this month for Christmas Card Club. So cute. I borrowed a friend's stamp set, Greeting Card Kids, and made this lovely card. See the lovely glitter on her coat? Love that glitter. Makes for a messy evening, but it gives the card so much sparkle!
Here's what the inside looks like. These are all boxed up for my craft shows that start next week! The envelope flap has been embossed with the same pattern as the Garden Green.

Cincinnati Regionals

was AWESOME!! I really had a GREAT time with Libby, Melissa & Nena. I got my picture taken with Shelli Gardner & Jill Cochran (I'm sure I misspelled it. Sorry Jill!!).

I also spotted Connie Babcock and Jenn Diercks who are two demo's that I stalk regularly. I think I scared Jenn... don't think she's used to the likes of me lol.

We did some very cute make & takes and learned a bunch of stuff. Carrie C. talked about how to use colors w/the color wheel. That was really cool. I will have to make a color wheel of my own! We also learned some Workshop WOWS from local (Midwest area) demonstrators. All were GREAT!

Here's an picture of the card I did to go with the previously posted Diaper Cake... it had to match of course!!

MIL's Birthday Card

Seems there were a lot of birthdays in March! I even missed a few because of the kiddos getting sick AND myself getting sick also. I'm still taking antibiotics for the sinus infection I had.

My MIL's birthday was March 9th, but she got really sick right before it and we never really got to take her out for dinner. In fact, I had to threaten her to get her to go to the doctor! When she finally did go, she ended up having bronchitis AND pneumonia! Imagine that.

I had some Bella Rose scraps laying around and wanted to see if I could use them up. If not, then I could throw away all the little squares of DSP I have been saving lol.

But LOOK! I was able to make a card after all! I really like this one too. I think it's the colors. I will probably be using this layout for my card clubs and also another 'quilting' technique I've seen on the internet these days.

Stamp Sets: Crazy for Cupcakes; Paper: Pirouette Pink, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss; Ink: Pirouette Pink, Riding Hood Red; Acc: SU Texturz Plates, Large Oval Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Trio Flower Punch, Non-SU Brads, Sponge Dauber, Key Tag Punch

Missed Last Friday...

didn't I?! hehehe

I had to finish up the One Sheet Wonder (OSW) cards my girls in Greenwood wanted to make. Usually we do the 8 for $10 route, but they wanted to try a OSW. So I designed 2 different kits for them to do and they really enjoyed it! They've also decided to swap the kits and make the opposites next month! woo hoo. Less work for me!

Then I had to make 40 Baby Shower Announcements for one of them. They were Pretty in Pink & Chocolate Chip. VERY nice. I will post those later... let's see if I have a card I can post.

Here's a card I made for a Sale-a-bration swap on SUDSOL. It's similar to the purple one we made at my Open House. I really like these colors more.

Stamp Set: Botanical Blooms, Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Paper: Kiwi Kiss, WW, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Regal Rose. Acc: 1/4" Rose Red Grosgrain, circle punches.

More Thank You Cards

Here are 3 more of the cards.

I think I forgot to mention yesterday that these cards are 3 1/2 x 5. I ordered envies once and ordered the wrong size. So now I use this size as my 'Thank You' card sizes and it has worked really, really well!
Stamp Set: Cute & Curly. Paper: Riding Hood Red, Chocolate Chip, Pirouette Pink, WW, Bella Rose DSP. Ink: Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red. Acces: Scalloped Edge Punch, Curly Label Punch, Spring Flowers Punch. Non-SU: Brown Brads

The chocolate chip one in the middle is one of my favorites. I think it's because I'm not much of a rose person. But my mother-in-law mentioned the thought the roses were her favorite so those might be in her future! *Ü*

Have a GREAT day!

Top Note Gift Card Holder

Here's a picture of another gift card holder I made for my craft shows. It's made with the Stampin' Up! Exclusive Top Note Die from Sizzix. Isn't it the coolest?! I really love it. I used the Snow Swirled stamp set.

Sorry the front picture is kind of blurry and the 2nd picture is a bit bright! I tried taking multiple pictures to no avail! I ran out of Night of Navy grosgrain so I had to use a generic ribbon I got in a ribbon swap.

Christmas Cards...

for October! My Christmas Card Club met last night as a make up night since I was recovering from my Outpatient Surgery last Monday. These are the cards for this month:

There's one more month and we'll be meeting on the 3rd Monday of the month. The green card is a bit slanted. I wanted to get a picture where you could see the Peaceful Wishes.

Swap Card

I participated in a swap on SUDSOL that Juli Smith was hosting. It was a color combo swap. The first 3 choices I had were taken... so I was getting down to the nitty gritty here lol.

Sudsol is a GREAT website to belong to. It stands for Simply Unique Demonstrators Sharing OnLine. The can answer any question I have about being a demo and stamping. Try out the 2 week FREE membership and tell them I sent ya!

My final choice was to use 3 of the 4 colors, which were: ruby red, cameo coral, kraft and baha breeze. I really really like this set out of the Holiday Mini. It's the only stamp set I purchased out of it so I am mighty proud of myself!

I will be using this set for one of the Christmas Cards in the my Christmas Card Club. So keep yer eyes peeled! hehe

October Already???

Wow, can you believe it is October already?? Where did the year go? Where did the summer go? Well, for me, it was used up getting 30 radiation treatments. Just when I thought my memory couldn't get any worse! goodness!

I don't think I posted the FREE Make & Take my customers made at my Open House. So I'm posting it here. I made them WORK for their FREEbie! hehe Hope you like it!

MORE Open House Fun

I also made those water bottle thingys. You know, the ones that hang on the neck and hold a single serving of Crystal Light powder? T

hey are cool! Not to mention I had colors behind the water bottles that made them rather colorful! I thought that was neat too!

Here's my display too of my cards from swaps at convention and some that I made. I was trying to showcase the new sets from the catalog. I had new items also laying out in front of that (like new ribbon, brads, simply scrappin' kits, etc.) as well as new catalogs and specials.

Babies, Babies Everywhere!

It seems that all of my friends are either preggers or just had a baby... it certainly comes in waves!

Here's a card I made for welcome baby cards. I have a surprise (to me anyways) baby shower to go to this Saturday and boy am I glad I thought this one up last weekend! It uses the new pirouette pink paper, but I used retired DSP and the retired 'I'm Here' set. I really like this baby set. More so than what is in the catalog at the moment.
I will be making 2 boy ones as well. Though I have decided that footprints would look better on a boy card vs. a girl and handprints on girl ones. How crazy is that? I also think the handprints would look better lighter, more like a watermark. Plus I am going to make it a bit more feminine. Betcha can't wait to get a look at my prototypes huh? I hope to have them by this weekend!

One of my stamp club gals will be using this as a template for 30 baby announcements. I'll be making a vertical one and a horizontal one so we can see which will look best for the baby picture!

SOrry I've been a slacker about posting. It's so hard to get into the whole school groove. I am having to set an alarm clock to get Lgirl up and ready for school. This is surprisingly HARD to get adjusted to! Wow. So I've had to cut my stamping short and start going to bed earlier... **gasp** the nerve of HER! hehhe

Inspirational Swap Card

This card was inspired by my NEW pair of Birkis. Last year at convention, my FAVORITE pair of Betula sandals gave their last step... I was deeply saddened as they were my absolute favorite sandals. They weren't your typical sandals either so I couldn't get them repaired.

Here's a picture of the NEW Birkis. Funny how I like the right shoe better than the left... I think it's because there's WAY more pink on the top... though if I turn my shoe on it's side, I can see a lot of pink lol.

And here's the card... I guess I should have taken a picture of the Garden Green one too. I did them w/3 backgrounds.

Another Swap Card

Here's another swap card using the Simply Said set. I used a technique called spot lighting. I think my upline will have her computer so I may try to post an update for everyone.

On My Way!!

Well, I should be in the air when this post is published! woo hoo. I hope I didn't forget anything. I'm more than likely finishing up my swaps. I like to save some for the flights as it gives me something to. I also listen to my IRiver and jam out to music while creating... the best way to go!!

Here's one of the cards I made for swapping. I've looked at other blogs and seen some AWESOME cards... I usually like to make mine quick and easy. That way I can get a lot done w/o spending too much time on it.

These cards all all painted with the NEW In colors! I used all of them except for the Piroette Pink (was on Back order) and the Tangerine paper. I did do some painting w/the tangerine though. Hope you like them! One of them reminds me of Snow White's Dress!

Wouldn't you agree??? Isn't this the stinkin' CUTEST picture you ever did see?? heheh We were at a playdate and Gman nabs the dress from Ava. I asked him if he'd like to wear it and he said yes.

Final Card for AA

Here's the last card I made for Artisan Awards and boy was it a BIG one lol. I hope you guys like it. I'm working on my swaps for convention. I had 30 images done and then REALIZED that the image I was using is from the Summer Mini and, therefore, NOT CURRENT!!

Can you say arrgghhhh!!! Yes, so I've had to start over and see what else I can come up with.

Working on Swaps...

for convention! woo hoo! I have finalized 3 of the 4 designs I'll be making for convention. Now I'm cutting up the paper to get cracking on it!!

Here's the 4th AA entry for cards. One more to go and then it's on to the scrapbook pages! Hope you like it! Sorry it is a bit dark.

Happy 4th!!!

I just wanted to wish everyone a safe and Happy 4th!

It's hubby's birthday so we'll be heading down to Grandma's for 1/2 the day and then back down tomorrow for 1/2 a day at the pond. We were supposed to go to the pond tonight, but it started raining last night and has been all morning so it was postponed until tomorrow.

'The Pond' is at grandpa's best friend from school's house. Just a pond where 4 couples around grandma's and grandpa's age hang out. Oh and then there's our family too. So we are the youngest couple heheh. Sometimes other kids of the older ppl come but mostly it's just us.

I've got 4 four-legged visitors staying for the 4th. One until monday and two will go home next saturday. Then I'll be getting 4 MORE 4 legged boarders! ehehe Plus I've got to go and take care of 2 client's pets. Busy busy here at our household!

Been Busy.... & AA Entry

trying to alter a BUNCH of stuff for the craft show I have coming up next week. It's here locally and the only summer one I'll be in. It's the Pennsy Art Fair. Feel like stopping BUY to see what I have??? Come on down!

Sorry I've been neglecting you guys. I am going to show you what I made for the Artisan Awards Contest that Stampin' Up! holds every year. I don't think I'll try for next year. While I understand that winners from last year can enter again this year, I just don't think it is fair.

One of the winners won again, which is GREAT for her, but I cannot compete w/a person who can put in a $700 order for the contest... wowsers... not to mention it doesn't give the rest of us a chance really. Oh enough whining... I'd like Chipolte Chedda to go with that (my new FAVORITE cheese!!).
Here's one of the cards I made for the AA. It's a z fold card. I also did crayon resist on glossy paper AND made a 3D flower w/the doodle this set. VERY cool! The other pic shows the inside of the card.
